IPPEX Cloud V 3.04.0 Release Notes

Introduction
Version 3.4.0 introduces new pay element functionality, enhanced document management controls, and improved permission handling for pay element configuration.
This release includes:
- Compound Pay Elements
- Reverse Document Run – Removal of Manually Added Documents
- Restricting Creation and Editing of Pay Element Types
These updates are designed to support more complex payroll structures, improve document processing accuracy, and strengthen governance around pay element configuration.
Compound Pay Elements
Overview
- A new Compound Pay Element type has been introduced to support scenarios where multiple values of the same pay element must be recorded within a single pay period.
- Unlike Permanent and Period Pay Elements, Compound Pay Elements allow multiple entries per pay period, enabling organisations to separate and track distinct values for the same element more effectively.
What’s New
- A third pay element type is now available: Compound Pay Elements
- Multiple values for the same element can be recorded within a single pay period
- Designed specifically for clients who require separation of multiple payments under one pay element
Reporting and Upload Behaviour
- Compound Pay Elements:
- Are not date-driven
- Can be mapped for PECI uploads via updated XSD mappings
- Can also be loaded through Pre-Processing List uploads
- These elements will appear on:
- Flexible Changes Report (List Tab only)
- Process Checking Report
- They will not appear on:
- Other report types
- Any tabular report tabs, including tabular views within Flexible Changes
Benefits
- Supports complex payroll scenarios requiring multiple values for the same element in one period
- Improves visibility and separation of payroll data
- Enables accurate reporting without creating duplicate element types
Reverse Document Run – Removal of Manually Added Documents
Overview
- Document run reversals have been enhanced to allow the removal of manually added documents, in addition to those generated automatically by the document run.
What’s New
- When reversing a document run, the system will now remove:
- Documents added via single file upload
- Documents manually added from the Undelivered Documents folder
- Any document whose timestamp matches the reversed document run
This ensures that all documents associated with a specific run, whether system-generated or manually added, can be fully rolled back in one action.
Benefits
- Provides complete and accurate document run reversals
- Prevents orphaned or incorrectly retained documents
- Improves control and auditability of document processing
Restricting Creation and Editing of Pay Element Types
Overview
- A new role-based permission has been introduced to control which users are allowed to create or edit pay element types.
- This enhancement strengthens governance and prevents unintended changes to core payroll configurations.
What’s New
- Users must now be explicitly granted permission to:
- Create new pay element types
- Edit existing pay element types
This restriction applies across all areas where pay element types can currently be created or modified, including:
- Pre-Processing Permanent Pay Elements
- Pre-Processing Period Pay Elements
- Post-Processing Period Pay Elements
Impact
- Without the appropriate role permission, users will no longer be able to create new pay element types or modify existing ones in any of these areas.
Benefits
- Improves security and configuration control
- Reduces risk of inconsistent or incorrect pay element structures
Ensures only authorised users can manage payroll element definitions
