Employees – Employee Detail Types

Using the payroll action button select pay data → employee detail types. Any number of employee details can be created for a payroll. The employee detail types are created during the upload process. An employee detail can be anything, such as job level, annual salary, spouse. Employee details are specific to a payroll and are necessary to support the payroll process. The employee detail values are uploaded and stored by pay period. 

  1. An employee detail type is named during the upload process.
  2. On creation of an employee detail type will be given a specific default Language
  3. An employee detail type, can be non-persistent or persistent. If a type is persistent, when a value is loaded against an employee for a pay period it will carry forward to the next pay period, the value will remain the same until changed during a pay period upload or removed using #clear# or a zero value against the employee for a pay period upload.
  4. Action button – View employee detail type translations – Translations can be added to any employee detail type. This enables users to view and report on employee details with headings in the local language.
